Our Response to Covid-19

It is our intentional effort to keep our young ones safe throughout this pandemic, therefore TCA has implemented required State, St. Louis County and City, MO Health Department and the CDC's latest guidelines into our daily childcare practices. Hence, it is our purposeful intention that every child attending our schools will encounter a life advancing day with least restrictive safety adjustments implemented into their daily active and learning programs.  Listed are TCA's response to Covid-19 as well as see our Teacher/Parent Training buttons. 

Center Covid-19 Changes

The required changes are as follows:

  • Children's temperatures are taken at the door (100.4* or less)

  • Classroom sizes are reduced for greater physical distance

  • Students will stay with the same two teachers throughout the day

  • Dramatic play centers have all clothes removed

  • Cots will be sanitized daily after nap

  • Toys & classrooms are sanitized at least twice daily (Deep cleaning at nap & closing)

  • Children wash their hands at least every 2 hours

  • Bathrooms are sanitized after every classroom/group visit

  • Teachers/adults wash and/or sanitize their hands at least 10 times daily

  • Teachers who visit out-of-town Hot Spots will have a mandatory 10 day quarantine

  • Teachers are required to wear mask and PPE

  • Teachers will not leave the building for lunch

  • TCA staff coming in contact with Covid -19 will be required to quarantine for 10 days

  • Schoolers (first grade - 13 years of age) will have Summer Academic Camp at TCA 2.

Family Covid-19 Changes

Thus, in an effort to keep your children safe, parent are required to:

  • During pick-up and drop-off allow ample time not to crowd at the door (6ft distancing is required)

  • Parents are required to wear a mask when entering the building

  • Parents will be asked safety questions at the door

  • Parents are required to use hand sanitizer provided at the door

  • Parents are asked to use their QR card to sign-in/out your child (contactless approach)

  • Be able to pick your child up in an hour or less if they become ill at school

  • Sick children will not be allowed to return for 72 hours symptom free

  • Children with runny noises, cough, diarrhea, sneezing, etc. will not be allowed to enter (please give proper medications as prescribed)

  • Sick children will be quarantine from the others immediately

  • Children with health, breathing and/or immune issues will require an action plan to be accepted at school

  • Children visiting out-of-town Hot Spots will be required to quarantine for 10 days (check CDC website for Hot Spots)

  • Children coming in contact with Covid-19 will be required to quarantine for 10 days

 

In closing, parents we are in changing times and the entire TCA team is decided to embrace this change. We thank you for your continued support during these challenging times. Keeping everyone safe is the name of the game to survive Covid-19 safely!
